Biography:
Dr. Ali Rahyab joined Hamilton Cardiology Associates in 2022. Dr. Rahyab graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Biochemistry from Hunter College in Manhattan, New York and obtained his Medical Degree at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Rahyab completed his residency program at NorthShore-LIJ (Northwell)/Hofstra School of Medicine in Long Island, New York. He completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey and working with world-class faculty he obtained Level II training in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology, along with training in Vascular Ultrasound interpretation. Dr. Rahyab is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Nuclear Cardiology. He has also attained testamur status in Adult Echocardiography and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Ultrasound.
Dr. Rahyab has been recognized with awards for patient recognition on the National Doctor’s Day tribute and a patient focus award. In addition, he has received press recognition by the UHF for research, has served on the medical education committee and has served as a volunteer faculty member at the medical student-run free clinic in Queens, New York.
Prior to joining Hamilton Cardiology Associates, Dr. Rahyab was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Hofstra/Northwell School of Medicine where he practiced as an Internal Medicine physician, trained medical students and medical residents, and conducted research. Dr. Rahyab has published textbook chapters on cardiology, conducted cardiac research, delivered education and case presentations, developed a web-based medical education app, and led a physician workshop at a national meeting.
